I consider myself to be very fortunate to be Head of such a well supported school. This event would not be going ahead if it wasn’t for the dedication and hard work of the PFA. The school is supported by parents, friends and the wider community who are all working towards the common aim of providing the best facilities for the children of Bainbridge School, not only those who are presently attending but also future pupils.
Over the years the PFA have raised a considerable amount of money and have provided a wide range of equipment for the school. As Head Teacher I am delighted that the PFA have chosen to raise funds to develop the outdoor play equipment. On behalf of the staff and children of the school I wish them every success and hope that you all have an enjoyable evening.
Thank you and good luck.
- Elaine Hopwood Head Teacher
Message from the PFA Committee
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who kindly donated the ‘promises’ and to all those who will be attending the evening.
Payment would be appreciated on the night by either cash or cheque made payable to Bainbridge School PFA. There is also a ‘Bid by Proxy’ form available at the back of this catalogue for those who wish to bid anonymously or are unable to attend the event. This needs to be completed and returned to school by Thursday 10th November at the latest.
As some of you may already be aware, the school is gradually growing in numbers and has a large playing field, but no equipment on it to stimulate the children at playtimes. The 40 year old steel climbing frame is past its best and has gone for scrap! The PFA is therefore concentrating its efforts on raising money to fund the installation of new equipment which would meet the needs of all the children within the school.
Finally, we would like to record our thanks to Wensleydale Creamery who have donated the cheese and special thanks to David Lambert (Auctioneer) and Linda Tennant (Auction Clerk) without whom this evening would not take place.
- The first lot will be auctioned at 8.OOpm – happy bidding!
