Flower Festival at Stalling Busk
Stalling Busk Church in Raydaleside celebrated its annual Flower Festival August 27th – 29th 2005.
The weather was glorious and it was well attended. On the Sunday afternoon there was a lakeside service at Semerwater conducted by the vicar Ann Chapman.

What better place for a teddy bears picnic
The theme this year was “Dales Childhood Memories”
which included a photographic display of Dales schools
through the ages.
Lillies, stocks and roses in an old wicker perambulator.
Red roses and gladioli were the main flowers
in this theme which included old childrens books toys and puppets.
A childrens farm was the theme in this display
White roses, stocks and gladioli were used to good effect
to depict a childs christening
The main display at the front of the church
was very colourful and full of interesting memorabilia including
a full size childs rocking horse
and a fully working scale model railway.
There was a striking arrangement of sunflowers.
This hanging arrangement was one of three placed down the ailse of the church.
The lovely old font outside the front door of the church dressed for the occasion.
