West Burton Village Hall has been voted BEST NEW NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING in the Best Building Design Awards launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the YDNP.

The village hall was considered a successful community effort in:
Raising funds
Setting design brief
Appointing an architect and contractors.

Overall, the judges said the building had a “pleasing distinctiveness, balanced by use of traditional materials.
